Harita deletes key coal power information disclosures from website

16 March 2026

Monday 16 March 2026

Following the filing of a complaint by Market Forces to the Singapore Exchange, Harita Nickel removed specific coal power capacity figures from its website.

The original disclosure, which cited a current capacity of 910 MW and a planned total of 1,670 MW, has been replaced with generalised language. However, these figures were previously reported by Dunia Energi in June 2025, citing statements from Harita’s official, confirming the 1,670 MW total capacity.

Market Forces views this data removal as a concerning reduction in corporate transparency following regulatory scrutiny.

Binbin Mariana, Asia Energy Finance Campaigner, said:

“It’s very concerning that following our complaint to the Singapore Exchange regarding potential misleading conduct by OCBC over its funding for Harita Nickel Group, the Indonesian company removed public disclosures regarding its coal power operations.”

“Specific figures detailing 1,670 MW of total capacity previously accessible on their website as recently as February 2026 have been erased and replaced with generalised language.”

“This sudden reduction in transparency is a red flag, and Singapore’s regulators need to investigate why this data was scrubbed shortly after being cited in a formal complaint.”

“This concerning corporate behaviour highlights that OCBC, DBS, and UOB must urgently reevaluate their relationship with Harita and the harmful emissions caused by its coal-powered nickel.”
